【Yinshi Volunteers】Toronto Stop Community Administrative Volunteers are urgently recruiting!

【英狮志愿者】多伦多Stop社区行政志愿者急招!

Community Introduction

At The Stop, nutritious food is a gateway to deeper connections. Most people walk through our doors to eat, but once here, they discover that their lives have been transformed through long-term involvement in our kitchen, garden, or through mutual support through peer advocacy, resulting in a sense of strength and belonging. The Stop is a place where community members can grow and feel supported, no matter where they are and how their circumstances may change. We offer everything from prepared meals to perinatal support.

Our community work is not a charity model; our goal is to empower community members and foster a sense of responsibility and care for one another. Our service users propose and shape new programs and our public policy priorities. By focusing on socially connected outcomes and developing programs based on community needs, our model aims to address the impacts and root causes of food insecurity and marginalization.
