The Euclid Mathematics Contest is a mathematics competition held by the School of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Waterloo for high school students around the world. It is the most valuable and recognized competition in Canadian high schools and is known as the "TOEFL in mathematics" . The University of Waterloo has the only mathematics school in Canada and the largest in North America. The Euclid Contest has been held since the 1970s, and in the past five years, it has attracted more than 20,000 students to participate each year.
