Job title: STEM subject high school teacher

Job type: Part-time

Job location: Online

Uforse Education ("Uforse" or "UFS", https://uforse.com/), headquartered in Toronto, Ontario. We specialize in providing educational advising services, academic tutoring, and postsecondary planning to high school students. Our company is made up of experienced and committed tutors with expertise in English, STEM and college application education. We have a dedicated team of learning management teachers to meet the needs of our students, as well as in-house academic advisors who are well-versed in Ontario high schools and Canadian post-secondary education.

Job summary : Subject tutoring for Canadian high school students - no deadline

Courses include :

Math (High School): IB Math, Calculus, Functions, Data, AP Calculus, SAT Math

Physics (High School): IB Physics, AP Physics

Accounting (High School)

Economics (High School): IB Economics, AP Economics

Responsibilities :

  • Deliver British Lions programs in classroom and/or online environments
  • make sure you are on time for class
  • Ensure students' awareness of course objectives and accurate understanding of course material
  • Evaluate student progress and tailor the specific content of each course to each student's background, experience, and individual learning style
  • Regular attendance at faculty meetings
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for improvement to the designated department head

Qualifications:

  • Currently studying or have completed at least one undergraduate degree or equivalent
  • Candidates should ideally have studied at an Ontario high school and be familiar with the Ontario high school curriculum
  • More than 1 year of tutoring or teaching experience is preferred
  • Passionate about teaching and have the ability to do so in a fun and engaging way
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, committed to student progress and improvement
  • Proficiency in English or Mandarin Chinese (not necessarily both languages)

Salary : $15.00-$25.00 CAD/hour
