VolunTrack App Online Seminar

This seminar invited Leo, a student of Inspur (currently studying computer engineering at the University of Toronto), to share his experience in the self-developed VolunTrack App. We also hope to recruit some like-minded partners to join the R&D and publicity team~

App developer Leo

Studied in Canada for six years, currently studying Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto Currently studying. Full stack engineer, proficient in using programming languages ​​such as C, C#, python, JavaScript, html, open source frameworks such as React JS, React Native , Unity engine, and cloud platforms such as AWS. Proficient in adjusting and optimizing large language models , in-depth understanding of machine learning frameworks, Prompt Engineering, including the use of LangChain I have many years of mature practical project management experience, creating and leading non-profit organizations, and leading the team to develop various types of cross-platform software and iterate multiple development cycles. From the second year of high school to now, I have led the team to develop a public welfare APP serving high school students and launched it online. Please stay tuned~

What is the VolunTrack App?

 

VolunTrack App provides a convenient volunteer search platform for Canadian high school students in grades 9-12 , providing them with more high-quality volunteer opportunities , helping them quickly find suitable volunteer activities and saving time. By cooperating with multiple non-profit organizations, we ensure that the volunteer opportunities provided are meaningful and valuable, can truly help the community, and also enrich students' personal experiences, so that they are fully prepared for future studies and careers.

 



What does the VolunTrack Org. team do?

We are committed to using innovative technology to connect volunteers with non-profit organizations. We focus on enriching the educational experience of high school students, providing students in grades 9-12 with hands-on experience in web design, development, and marketing.

Front-end development

Job Responsibilities: Creating the User Interface

Recommended skills:

1. Interested in front-end frameworks and languages, such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

Backend Development

Job Responsibilities: Set up the application's backend and ensure it runs properly

Step 1: Register
* Complete the registration according to the prompts on our website/offline seminars.

Step 2: Fill in the details
* After registration, applicants will receive an email with a link to a Google form. Please fill in the form to provide detailed personal information and volunteer preferences.

Step 3: Wait for the initial review of the information
* We will conduct a preliminary review of your application and select suitable applicants to proceed to the next step.

Step 4: Receive an interview invitation
* Applicants who pass the initial screening will receive an interview invitation. Please follow the instructions in the email to arrange the interview time.

Step 5: Attend an interview

Step 6: Interview evaluation and feedback

Step 7: Officially join

* Successful applicants will receive a formal job invitation Step 8: Attend training and orientation session

What will you gain?

Students at Enshi Education will be given priority in choosing high-quality volunteer opportunities and have the opportunity to join the R&D and publicity teams. Volunteer experience will become a strong background enhancement for students applying for majors such as computer science, engineering, and business!
