Help A Girl Out

HAGO is an anti-poverty organization based in Brampton, Ontario, that aims to end menstrual poverty in Canada and developing countries. Since 2018, they have distributed hundreds of thousands of menstrual products. So far, their efforts have provided assistance to individuals and centers in Canada, the Caribbean, and several African countries.

"One in four (25%) low-income Canadians experience period poverty. The situation is even worse in developing countries."

—Wage and Social Security Canada

A quarter of Canadians believe menstruation is dirty and unclean, and about one in five believe menstruation should not be discussed publicly (22%) and that menstrual products should be kept out of sight (22%).
